Lavender
Lavender is a member of the mint family. May act as a mild sedative when used in aromatherapy.
Lavender oil, which has long been used in the production of perfume, can also be used in aromatherapy. The scent has a calming effect which may aid in relaxation and the reduction of anxiety. Kashmir lavender oil is also very famous as it is produced from the foothills of the Himalayas.
What is Lavender?

How Does Lavender work?
Drops of lavender oil or seeds put into pillows have been used to aid sleep. It is used in aromatherapy and as an extract or tea.
It may also help relieve pain from tension headache when breathed in as vapour or diluted and rubbed onto the skin. When added to a vaporiser, lavender oil may aid in the treatment of cough and respiratory infection.
