florid.org.uk is a group of people who have been affected by mental health in some way, and this website was put together to share information and support with others in a space that is safe, so please read the following to find out about how florid.org.uk works.
Personal Information
The personal details you give Florid will only be used to inform you of things relating to the website or to send you the Florid newsletter, which you do have the choice to opt out of, at anytime. Florid will not share your information with anyone outside of florid.org.uk without asking your permission first. We follow the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.
Discussion Boards
When you join florid.org.uk all we will ask of you is that you treat people and their views and opinions with respect and understanding. If you are found to be bullying or posting any content which is offensive ‘i.e. racist’ anywhere on Florid, we WILL remove it and give you a yellow card. If we give you a yellow card, your postings will be monitored… this may mean that there will be a delay before you see your posting on florid.org.uk. If this happens again we will consider terminating your membership from the website.
Choosing to share any personal information about yourself in the Blog Area or Your View is done at your own risk. You can email the florid.org.uk team and ask us to remove any information you have posted. We will do out best to remove it immediately but this can take up to 24 hours, so please be careful!
